Located in Harbin, known as the "Little Paris of the East," is CRRC Harbin Rolling Stock Co., Ltd., a modern large state-owned enterprise. The company is located at No. 10 Xianfeng Road, Daoli District, Harbin, covering an area of 950,000 square meters, with more than 1,500 employees and total assets of 1.25 billion yuan.

CRRC Harbin is a subsidiary of CRRC Corporation, founded in 1898. The factory has gone through historical periods of Tsarist Russia's sole occupation, Sino-Soviet joint operation, Japanese puppet rule, Sino-Soviet joint administration, and the People's Railway. It was the only factory in the northern Manchuria region with the largest number of industrial workers and the first modern industrial factory, and it was also inspected by Chairman Mao Zedong and Premier Zhou Enlai. During the Liberation War, the factory, with its belief in industrial service to the country, completed nearly three years of military production tasks, making outstanding contributions to the liberation of Northeast China and the whole of China.

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, through the hard work of several generations of rolling stock workers, the company has developed into a leading enterprise in China in the repair of railway freight cars and the main design and manufacturing of special long and heavy freight cars and industrial and mining vehicles. It has a railway vehicle repair system mainly composed of two series: railway freight car manufacturing and freight car maintenance. Products cover various types of railway freight cars, all series of self-dumping cars, special long and heavy freight cars, and industrial and mining self-owned cars. The production capacity is 7,500 railway freight cars manufactured and repaired annually and 2,500 railway freight cars section-repaired annually. To date, the company has designed, manufactured, and repaired a total of more than 200,000 railway passenger and freight cars for the country, and its products have been exported to more than 20 countries and regions including Australia, Kazakhstan, Argentina, Brazil, and Mongolia, making outstanding contributions to China's railway freight car industry.

In the new historical period, inheriting the company's century-old accumulation and guided by CRRC's vision of "becoming a world-leading, multinational enterprise group with rail transit equipment as its core," the company, in accordance with the strategic layout of "one industry as the main focus, diversified development," has gradually formed a business structure of "one core, two poles, and multiple points," with railway freight car manufacturing and repair as the core, e-commerce platforms and circular economy as important growth poles, and steel logistics, grain machinery, platform equipment, urban rail maintenance, wind power equipment, new energy vehicles, and other businesses as growth points.
