The Ministry of Justice Party Committee puts forward five hopes for lawyers

 The Ministry of Justice held a symposium on lawyers' work on June 30. He Rong, Party Secretary and Minister of Justice, attended the meeting and emphasized the need to effectively strengthen the Party's building in the legal profession, accelerate the formation of a high-quality legal team that satisfies the Party and the people, guide lawyers to firmly uphold the "Two Establishments" and resolutely achieve the "Two Maintenances" in practical actions, and make achievements on the new journey of building a strong nation and national rejuvenation.

After listening to the speeches of the lawyer representatives, He Rong emphasized that the legal profession is an important force in advancing the comprehensive rule of law and promoting Chinese modernization, and plays an important role in building a law-based China.

On behalf of the Party Group of the Ministry of Justice, she put forward five hopes for the vast number of lawyers: First, to be practitioners who uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China and our country's socialist rule of law as a basic professional requirement. Persist in consolidating the Party's innovative theories, consciously adhere to the Party's leadership over legal work, and firmly follow the path of socialist rule of law with Chinese characteristics. Second, to be strivers who love the country, build a strong nation, and realize national rejuvenation. Inherit the patriotic traditions of the legal profession, promote socialist core values, and fully leverage professional advantages to serve the construction of Chinese modernization. Third, to be defenders of the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Practice the principle of rule of law for the people, and resolve the urgent and difficult problems faced by the people through lawful practice, handling cases, and providing public legal services, thereby safeguarding social fairness and justice. Fourth, to be promoters of high-quality economic and social development. Keep the "country's great affairs" in mind, diligently study the business, better adapt to new demands and changes of the times, and provide high-quality professional legal services for the implementation of major national development strategies. Fifth, to be guardians of integrity and uprightness in the industry. Adhere to the correct value orientation, abide by professional ethics and practice disciplines, and practice law honestly and in accordance with laws and regulations.

He Rong stated that the Ministry of Justice will take concrete measures to strengthen the political guidance of the legal profession, enhance the protection of practice rights and supervision, and develop foreign-related legal services. Judicial administrative organs at all levels and all lawyers' associations must effectively fulfill their administrative management and industry self-regulation responsibilities, guide, manage, and serve the legal profession well, and promote the high-quality development of lawyers' work.
